The
Band

Dead Signal formed in 2019 in a rented rehearsal space in Northeast Portland. What started as a loose collection of studio experiments between five friends became one of the Pacific Northwest's most talked-about live acts inside eighteen months.

Their sound lives in the friction between control and collapse — precise arrangements that unravel at the edges into noise and atmosphere. Influences range from Radiohead and Low to The National and Grouper, but the result is distinctly their own: wide-open and airless at the same time.

After two self-released EPs and a debut LP (Carrier Loss, 2023), the band signed with Partisan Records and began work on their second full-length, due spring 2027. The new record was tracked live to tape in a cabin outside Astoria over three weeks in February.
